Scotts Valley Art Center, founded by Shirley Lehner-Rhoades in 1997, has been providing fine art, craft and performance painting instruction to students of all ages, from grade-school to adult.
Scotts Valley Art Center specializes in teaching new and advanced students as aspects of sketching and line art, pastel drawing, watercolor, acrylic and oil painting. Additionally, certain select craft and multimedia projects are offered throughout the year.
Students of every age and skill level are welcomed and personally guided into and through their artistic skills development.
Shirley, who studied art at the Academy of Art of San Francisco, San Jose State University and Arizona State University has been a professional graphic artist, typographer, and painter for over thirty years.
